2011 installation 1500 euro coins, Scale table, chairs, instruction board, detector gates "Castle" was comissioned for KAAP, an exhibition for children taking place in a fort outside Utrecht. The audience, children and the adults bringing them to the show, were invited to build a caste from euro the coins on the table. Instructions for building different structures were on the wall. The table is also a sensitive scale able to detect removal of even one coin. At the entrance there are detector gates, which appear to be protecting the money from being stolen, but are actually not functioning. The installation functions as a site for social control, speculations on value and questions about education.
